Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is located in southwestern Uganda, approximately 540kms from Kampala, with a drive time of 8 – 10 hours. This park is home to the rare mountain gorillas, and you will trek through the dense forest to observe these gentle giants in their natural habitat. Additionally, you will visit Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is situated in western Uganda, approximately 5 – 6 hours drive from Kampala, to experience thrilling game drives and a launch trip.
Your 5-day gorilla and wildlife tour will commence and end in Kampala or Entebbe. You will have plenty to keep you engaged throughout your safari, such as game drives, launch trips, gorilla trekking, and a visit to the Batwa community.

Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Your 5-day Uganda Gorillas and Wildlife Tour will kick off with a comfortable transfer from Kampala or Entebbe to Queen Elizabeth National Park. After enjoying a delicious breakfast at a hotel of your choice in Kampala, our friendly company representative will warmly welcome you and provide a comprehensive briefing on what to expect during your safari.
You will then embark on a scenic journey through Mubende – Fort Portal then through Kasese, taking approximately 6-7 hours. Along the way, you will be treated to picturesque views of Uganda’s stunning landscape. Upon arrival, you will check in at your preferred lodge for a well-deserved lunch and later dinner.

Day 2: Game drive along Kasenyi track and launch trip via Kazinga channel.
You will have an early start to your day with a delicious breakfast before being picked up by your experienced driver guide and a park ranger guide to begin your wildlife exploration. You will then drive along Kasenyi track, which offers breathtaking views of various wildlife species, such as elephants, buffaloes, leopards, lions, antelopes, birds, and many more.
Your game drive along the Kasenyi trail will last approximately 2-3 hours before you return to your lodge for a well-deserved lunch and some rest. In the afternoon, you will embark on a thrilling launch trip via Kazinga channel, which is home to an array of water dwellers, including hippos, basking crocodiles, water birds, and elephants. This water spot is an unforgettable experience that lasts around 2-3 hours.
After the launch trip, you will return to your lodge for a relaxing evening, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 3: Game drive via Ishasha sector and drive to Bwindi impenetrable national Park.
You will enjoy an early breakfast before embarking on a game drive via Ishasha sector, the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. During this game drive, you will have the opportunity to spot tree-climbing lions, elephants, buffaloes, and many other wildlife species that inhabit the area.
After the game drive, you will proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, with a lunch stop at Savannah Resort along the way. Upon arrival at the park, you will check in at a lodge of your preference.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking and a visit to Batwa community.
Wake up early in the morning for breakfast and head to the park offices for a briefing on the guidelines for gorilla trekking. Gorilla treks in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park start from one of the four main trailheads: Ruhija, Buhoma, Nkuringo, and Rushaga. Each region features different gorilla families, and one family will be assigned to your group of 8 visitors. You will be escorted by an expert park ranger guide and at least two porters. Some of the gorilla families to explore in Bwindi National Park include Kutu, Mishaya, Kahungye, Busingye, Mubare, Oruzogo, Christmas, and others. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi National Park can last between 2 – 6 hours, including one hour of face-to-face encounter with the mountain gorillas, photography, and an opportunity to explore their behaviours.
After the trek, return to your lodge for a rest and lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Batwa community and experience their traditional dances and lifestyle.
